Project Updates - Late June 2021

JULES

At this point in time, our manufacturer has given us an ETA of early July for the remade VARIABLE plates. 

Allowing time for the plates to ship to our warehouse, fulfilment of solderable/VARIABLE plate Jules can resume in mid-late July.

The majority orders of the hotswap/FIXED plate Jules have now completed shipping.

It has come to our attention that member(s) of our support team have mistakenly informed some customers that the draft version of Jules was approved for production by its designer. 

The details of the situation were misinterpreted by our support team as the information passed through multiple people. This is not true and we apologise for any confusion caused.

KARA

Our manufacturer has informed us that the KARA production run of W01-A Internal Weights has still not left port since the 2nd of June due to ongoing issues with port availability.

The freight forwarder has even attempted to transport the container by truck to an alternative port with no success.

Currently, the shipment is expected to depart on the 26th of June and arrive by early-mid July.

Given the amount of time customers have now been waiting, we have decided to ship all KARA orders and then ship the W01-A weights separately once they have arrived.

Customers who have not yet received their KARA order can expect to receive a shipping confirmation within the next 1-2 weeks.

U80-A SEQ2

The partial batch of U80-A SEQ2 mentioned in the late May update is on the same shipment as the W01-A weights.

M50-A

Fulfilment of M50-A will begin as soon as possible alongside KARA.

ZENITH

The same port issues with W01-A/U80-A SEQ2 are also affecting Zenith. Once we have an expected shipping date, it will be posted here on the updates blog.

NEMO DECOMMISSION 2 + RW01 NIGHT EDITION

Shipment of all NEMO DECOMMISSION 2 and RW01 NIGHT EDITION orders are due to complete within the next 1-2 weeks.

RW PEN A

Project Updates - Early March 2021

M65-B ICED 

The M65-B ICED units landed in dock earlier this week and are currently undergoing customs clearance. We expect to receive them by the end of this week. This shipment includes the ICED plates and bases. 

If you have an order with a non-ICED M65-B and an ICED accessory, it’ll now be ready to ship once they come in.

M60-A OLIVIA/LNY20

The M60-A units have also landed alongside the M65-B ICED units. Fulfilment will begin after M65-B completes.

M50-A + JULES

M50-A and Jules are currently still in transit via sea freight. More news will be included in the next update once we have an expectation of when they will land. 

U80-A SEQ2

We know many of you have been waiting for U80-A SEQ2 updates! 

Currently, we’re expecting to begin fulfilment by mid-Q2 and finish by early Q3. 

It will be shipped in batches so orders will be completed based on colour.

NEMO DECOMMISSION 2

NEMO has completed QC and packing and is currently on the way over to our warehouse!

Keycaps sold directly through our web store have begun shipping. This includes:

Project Updates - September 2020

THERMAL

The THERMAL units have arrived at our warehouse. Preparation for shipping begins this Monday! There will be extras once all of the pre-orders are shipped.

U80-A SEQ1 EXTRAS

Fulfilment for SEQ1 is more or less complete! We’ll be performing a stock count on Monday to confirm the numbers. Expect to see the sale shortly after - date and time will be announced!

JULES

Jules is now heavily in the machining stage - they’re expected to complete by the end of October/early November currently.

M65-B

M65-B is currently being packaged at the factory - they’ll be shipped to our warehouse once complete. The PCBs are due to be complete at the end of the month and sent to us for early October arrival. The MUTE mounts have already arrived at our warehouse.

M60-A LNY/OLIVIA

Similar to Jules, these are heavily in machining, they’re expected to complete by the end of October/early November.

M50-A + GRID SET B Keycaps

The M50-A units are also in machining currently and are expected to complete by the end of October/early November. The GRID SET B Keycaps are in stock and ready to ship.

ZENITH

Production has officially begun for Zenith and they’re currently in the early stages of machining.

CANVAS

The Canvas deskmats are scheduled to ship from our manufacturer to our box supplier at the end of the month for packing - then shipped to our warehouse for fulfilment. Expect another month for sea-freight.

TRAY

The TRAYs are currently in production. We’ll post a further update once we receive an ETA from our manufacturer. UPDATE: Expected to complete around the end of October/Early November.

KATE

The double-shot mould production for the KATE keycaps has begun! We've finalised the placement of the legends for the tooling and progress is being made! We're working on the packaging in the meantime and can't wait to show more.

KARA

The surface finish is now being added to the mould and the master colour batches are being mixed to our specified colours. We are expecting to receive these in the following weeks. Once these are inspected, tested and signed off - we can begin the pre-order! We were really hoping KARA would be ready by the end of this month but as we mentioned in previous updates, we want to get this product exactly right as it’s our favourite to date - we cannot wait for people to try these out for themselves! We’re working on a line of accessories for the KARA series as well.

NEMO Decommission 2

The pre-order for NEMO Decommission 2 closes on the 30th of September. Production will start immediately afterwards.

COLLABORATION CAPS

We've added the new RWxNK WAVE SEQ2 cap to our store! This cap is machined from Stainless Steel and features a unique chromatic Blue/Purple PVD. This coating is tough to produce as it requires multiple PVD coatings to achieve the multi-colour finish.

U80-A Remaining Orders / PORT Replacements / THERMAL / M10 / ZENITH Final Days

U80-A Remaining Orders

We will be shipping the remainder of the U80-A orders as we were waiting on a stabiliser restock which had arrived today for the starter kits. We apologise for the delay and will quickly pack and get these units out!

THERMAL

All the THERMAL units are assembled and packed at our manufacturer. We are now in the process of ordering the container and getting it to our Australian warehouse. Will keep everyone updated to what the ETA for arrival is. As soon as it lands we will begin packing and shipping the orders out as quickly as possible.

M10-C

The M10-C’s are now all packed and we will be shipping out the units over the next few weeks!

ZENITH

The RAMA WORKS FOUNDRY ZENITH pre-order closes at the end of this month and we will then begin production. More can be read about it here: https://r.works/zenith

PORT PVD Replacements

We are still waiting on collating all the numbers for the replacement units of the PVD Rose Gold weights which were affected. Only a single batch of the PORT units was affected - we expect to collate all numbers within the next two weeks - we can then start to manufacture the replacements and ship them out as soon as possible!

NEMO!

Incredibly thrilled to see NEMO’s arriving in the wild - it’s been exciting to see which numbers everyone receives and hope they all love their new home 🥰

U80-A Arrival

The U80-A’s have arrived in our warehouse and will begin shipping on Monday! We’re super keen to get these packed and out of the warehouse as quickly as possible and have extra hands joining in to speed up the process. M6-C RW x RW Edition

The RWxRW edition has arrived and will be packed and shipped as soon as possible! The base for this edition came out fantastic.

The remainder of the 135 canisters have finally arrived, we’ll be assembling them this week. The silver hot shoes also came within the same shipment!

U80-A

The U80-A first shipment of 9 pallets is loaded into a container and is awaiting to leave port on the 13th of this month. We appreciate everyone’s patience and will provide another update when it leaves port and an ETA of arrival! Everything is ready on our end for when the U80-A's arrive so we can pack and ship them out as quickly as we can ☺️

M50-A Assembly/Typing Video + Extended / M65-B / GRID Caps / FILM / CANVAS

M50-A

We’ve extended the M50-A pre-order period to the 30th of this month, we’ve also created a quick video showcasing it! Unfortunately, with our move, we didn’t have everything we needed. But, either way - we hope you like the look of the board, we’re incredibly happy with the feel and size of it!

We’ve also extended the GRID keycaps to the end of the month as well. The CANVAS XL are now being packed and shipped along with the FILM accessories + NEMO. M6 Milkshake will also be shipping out to the distributors shortly!

M65-B

The machining has completed for the Aluminium variants of the M65-B! We expect to freight the Aluminium units next month and the polycarbonate ones later (will update as we are closer to the date).

The M50-A PCBs have arrived! The prototype enclosure should also be arriving in the following weeks in which we’ll produce a typing video. We’re also adjusting our setup for improved audio.

These have also arrived, now we’re awaiting the Inventory 2 wallets themselves which have been shipped - however, given the current reduction of transit lanes it will take longer to arrive than usual.

Arrived yesterday and we will start packing and shipping starting this upcoming Monday and throughout the week!

As mentioned in previous blog updates, we’re increasing our manufacturing output with the addition of more CNC mills to the factory and aim to produce our products within tighter timelines!

RAMA WORKS® BUCKLE

We at RAMA WORKS®, love satisfying mechanisms and clicky things - so we designed a completely metal buckle with a new latch design. Suited for bags, belts, apparel and any other EDC. The first round of prototyping is complete and we can't wait to show more! We will be manufacturing these in a variety of sizes and offer them both at wholesale and our own retail channels, as we’d love to see these used on some great bag designs from other manufacturers! The design of the buckle mechanism is unique and enjoyable to use.

NEMO Packaging

The NEMO’s have completed machining and are in the final stages of surface finishing. The packaging has also arrived in our warehouse. We’re also working on extra inclusions to include with each order! The first batch release of NEMO is super important to us and we’re honoured to see these in peoples collections soon.

U80-A / THERMAL

M60-A LNY Edition

Following the short-run limited release of the M60-A OLIVIA Edition, we've introduced the M60-A LNY Edition. Featuring a bold RACE Anodised aluminium enclosure with the double-happiness enamel filled Brass backweight.

Backweights from all editions/releases of our M60 are backwards compatible.

Each LNY edition order comes with a RAMA WORKS® Red Pocket and LNY Sticker set

M10-C

The M10 is BACK! This time it will be manufactured and solely sold through RAMA WORKS®. The PCB is backwards compatible with previous revisions and now features RGB LEDs and comes in hot-swap and solderable variants.

PROJECT UPDATES

M60-A SEQ2

The contents of our container of M60-A units are arriving at our warehouse this Thursday or Friday - we’ll post an update when it does!

U80-A

The machining for the U80 will finish this month! It will then move onto finish treatment; this includes: polishing, bead-blasting + surface treatment (Anodising / PVD). As each piece needs to be polished before it’s either bead-blasted or coated, it will take some time. We estimate it to finish production by the middle of February. Packaging & Logistics will also take a considerable amount of time given the number of units.

THERMAL

We estimate the THERMAL units to finish production at the end of February. Again, it will have to go considerable packaging and logistics before they ship. For both the U80 & THERMAL we estimate it will ship in Q1 of 2020.

NEMO

NEMO will be completed machining this month, it will then move to the final processing. Note that this does not include the RW01 which will finish in Q1 of 2020. We will be shipping both NEMO and RW01 in Q1 - we’re working on some special packaging to include with each unit!

Camera Accessories

These should be shipping in February! They have finished manufacturing and will be assembled & packed when they arrive in our warehouse.
