The tiny, high quality 4 KEY programmable boarD
Designed by Rama Works
PCB/Electronics by Machine Industries
The M4-A originally began as the R042 circuit board, which was my first foray into PCB design. After a lot of interest in the tiny, easy to solder board, I decided to productise it. To do this, I completely reworked the PCB and turned all the components to through-hole, this makes all the components easier to solder. I also neatened the silk screen and the positioning of components. After the PCB was complete, I turned to making the enclosure. I wanted this product to feel good. So, I decided on an Aluminium unibody enclosure with a Nylon base. To make it as small as possible, I sandwiched the PCB in between the top and bottom halves using the same mounting holes.

A new PCB is being commissioned (to Machine Industries) to include a beefier Atmel processor, allowing it to use the same easy-to-use programming software that its older brother, the M10-A uses. IT may also have LED support and may come fully assembled (sans switches) TBC
Enclosure prototype is set to arrive around the 13-16th Sept.
PCB has been updated by the work of Machine Industries to now use an Atmel 32U. The M4-A will now be a lot more simple to program using the software designed for the M10-A (A sneak peak can be seen on the M10-A page). The PCB will also come fully assembled sans switches (these must be provided and soldered yourself).
